Cornell University (SIC) - Social Impact Consulting program
This one-week immersive learning program in Peru places Cornell University students in the heart of the Tiracu Valley in the Peruvian Amazon, where learning unfolds through direct engagement with the local environment, communities, and ways of life. Surrounded by the rainforest, participants are immersed in the social and ecological realities of the region while exploring how communities work toward land regeneration and sustainable livelihoods.
Living and learning alongside local partners at Siendo Naturaleza, a local organization dedicated to land regeneration and community empowerment, students engage in hands-on activities, community interactions, and guided reflection supported by systems-thinking sessions that help connect environmental, social, and economic dynamics. Through field-based exploration, site visits, and facilitated dialogue with community members, participants develop a grounded understanding of regenerative land-use practices and community-led development, strengthening their global perspective and ability to engage thoughtfully with sustainability challenges across cultures.

LINC Madrid is an eight-day immersive learning experience designed for students enrolled in the Global Commerce course at USC Marshall School of Business. Through a hands-on academic trek, participants live and learn in Madrid while engaging directly with Spain’s business ecosystem, gaining first-hand insight into how global commerce operates within a European and cross-cultural context.
The program integrates experiential learning activities, company visits, and cultural exploration to deepen students’ understanding of Spain’s economic landscape, history, and social environment. By navigating local contexts, engaging with practitioners, and participating in guided reflection, students develop a stronger global perspective and enhance their ability to operate effectively across cultures and international business settings beyond the U.S.
