Virtual Impact Program
what is it
The Virtual Impact Program is a 5-week program for undergraduate students that aims to develop the next generation of responsible leaders. Students will have the opportunity to work directly with a social enterprise or NGO, immerse themselves virtually in a new country and culture, and receive valuable leadership training.
There is an optional 1-week travel add-on post program for students who wish to experience the in-country component.
Level of degree: Undergraduate Students
Duration: 5 Weeks + optional 1 week travel add-on
Locations available: Peru, South Africa or Spain
Social Impact Project
Group social impact project work with international NGO or social enterprise
Develop students’ responsible leadership skills and knowledge
Exposes students to cross-cultural awareness and Intelligence
Throughout the virtual weeks, students will get the opportunity to engage in project based learning. They will collaborate with our field partners and consult on a project related to social impact.
Once the program begins, successive learning modules such as Human Centered Design, Cultural Awareness and Artificial Intelligence allow students to develop desirable, feasible, and viable solutions and recommendations to the project.
By the end of the program, students present their final deliverables to their clients. They will also share reflections on their virtual experience and how they plan to apply the skills they have developed in their future academic and professional lives.
The 1 week optional travel component (post program) is meant to open up the student’s perspectives and outlook on life while giving them the opportunity to meet their virtual summer cohort peers and to engage in a meaningful cultural immersion experience.
