Job Summary

The role of Country Manager : South Africa forms an integral part of the operations of Emzingo|U. The aspects below set out the key areas of responsibility for this role, as well as the key areas where this role will need to support the rest of the Emzingo|U team in achieving the organization objectives of Emzingo|U. 

 

Key Responsibilities for this role

  • Management and coordination of all programs that take place in South Africa ( pre, during and post program ).

  • Manage the execution of activities and the associated budget for all operations and logistics aspects ( including accommodation, transportation, and curriculum planning ) for all programs that take place in South Africa.

  • Manage existing Field Partner relationships and ensure the development of new Field Partner relationships to successfully execute program activities in South Africa.

  • Maintain and build new relationships with all content providers, facilitators, coaches, mentors, etc to support program activities in South Africa.

  • Actively manage the reputation of Emzingo|U in South Africa by establishing solid relationships with relevant stakeholder groups within the Sustainability Ecosystem of South Africa.

Key Areas where the role will provide Support to the rest of the Emzingo|U team
 

  • Experience Design - Assist the Customer Experience and Design Lead in identifying ways in which program offerings can be improved for all stakeholders.

  • Business Development - Assist in the program recruitment process where required and support the Business Development team with any aspects associated with South African clients from time to time.

  • Ad Hoc Project Support - Assist the Executive Director ( or any other member of the Emzingo|U team ) from time to time in the execution of project management tasks related to activities that are vital to the success of the Emzingo Group LLC

Ideal Skills & Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, marketing, communication or any other relevant field.
    Project Management experience and/or proven ability to plan and manage multiple work streams in a timely manner.

  • General knowledge of B Corporations and Social Impact (ideal but not mandatory).
    Prior experience working in the education sector and/or curriculum development (ideal but not mandatory).

  • Budget management

  • Creative orientation, strong problem resolution skills and emotional intelligence

  • Open minded, team player and comfortable working in a diverse ( yet virtual ) environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Legal status to live and work in South Africa ( Citizen or Permanent Resident ) - Emzingo|U will not sponsor a Work Visa for this role.

Role Title :  Country Manager : South Africa
Position Type : Full Time 
Hours : 30 - 40 hours per week
Location :  

  • Johannesburg, South Africa 

  • Remote / Virtual working environment for about 60% of the Year

  • In-Person presence required when running programs

  • The applicant, if not resident in Johannesburg, must be willing to travel and be based in Johannesburg when in-person programs take place.

Compensation : ZAR 27,550 per month before taxes

The Emzingo Group LLC ( trading as Emzingo|U ) is a business registered in the United States of America. The successful applicant would be contracted as an Independent Consultant / Contractor to Emzingo|U. As such, there are no Health, Pension, Disability or similar benefits associated with this role.
